Greenlit Games is awarded business development funding from INTRO-fondet

The local government fund, INTRO-fondet in Tromsø, has for the first time ever awarded funding to a game company. Greenlit Games receives the honor of being the first gaming company to receive business development funding, for our first title Words'N'Blox. The funds will be used in the commercial side of getting the game out into the market on Android and iOS devices. We are super excited to receive this support from INTRO-fondet and look forward to giving Words'N'Blox high visibility in the marketplace in the coming months. Our first title, Words'N'Blox has been released on Google Play for Android phones and tablets! Arrange the letterblocks to form a specific word in more than 200 uniquely designed levels. Play on your own or go head to head with your friends or random opponents. We are super excited to bring you this first ever Greenlit Game title. For those of you with an iOS device, we're launching on iTunes in just a few weeks time! NFI Grants Monetary Support

Greenlit Games have today been granted monetary support from the Norwegian Film Institute for the development of Words'N'Blox, the first title from the independent studio.

Kaja Hench Dyrlie, NFI's production advisor for games, said; "It's great to see that many of those who worked at the previous Playfish Tromsø office has established a new game company and that they do not dissapear from the industry. Words'N'Blox is a new take on the letter- and wordplay genre and we believe this will be a big hit when it's released."
